For people with only one bathroom in their home, a bathroom renovation seems a lot scarier for them and can only be made simpler by having a solid game plan and a checklist of everything from duties, costs and materials. Also take into consideration that you need to be fairly quick and efficient when you only have one bathroom as you and your family will need to use it still. This makes for the renovation to be more hectic and needs to be more organized.

Typically you should hire a professional who can take care of the entire project especially when you need a fast professional job done and don’t have time to experiment things. Most plumbers can handle bathroom renovations and I know that I do bathroom renovations in my area, so I believe you can find a plumber in your local area to complete a bathroom renovation for you.

Now as with most renovation projects people have amounted a list of many myths involved with projects and bathroom renovations are no exception. You can find hundreds of bathroom renovation myths listed online but I thought I’d list the five most common bathroom myths that I hear when on the job site.

1. A bathroom is easy to renovate without being a professional
2. Bathrooms are created equally
3. Always hire the lowest bidder for the project
4. We can’t afford what we would like to see in our bathroom
5. It will take to long to renovate

The above five myths are completely false yet almost all clients I talk with have mentioned one of the above myths at one point in time or another. When dealing with a professional you won’t need to worry about the bathroom renovation myths bothering you much as the professional should make sure they don’t happen. The myths are also great tips to think about when you’re thinking about getting ready to renovate your bathroom. Don’t let them become reality though, and don’t focus on them once you begin the renovation, just remember them in the back of your head so you don’t make the mistakes some other novice renovators have made in the past.
